A delightful high grade matcha from one of Kyoto's traditional tea companies, IPPODO founded 1717. Sayaka-no-mukashi is a rich, deep green, with sweet notes of wheatgrass, pleasing umami, and a hint of astringency for a delightful smooth bowl. Perfect for those who enjoy straight forward matcha with water, as there isn't enough astringency to pair well with milk. 40g tin with vacuum sealed foil bag.
MATCHA - SAYAKA-NO-MUKASHI
1. Bring fresh, cold water to a rolling boil.
2. Allow water to cool until 160-175 degrees.
3. Sift two blueberry size scoops (4g) into tea bowl using bamboo chashaku or stainless steel Perfect spoon.
4. Gently pour 6oz cooled water into bowl.
5. Wet out chasen (bamboo whisk), and using a W motion, whisk vigorously for 15 seconds or until desired froth is achieved.
6. Sip and enjoy!
7. Rinse chasen and allow to air dry.
8. Consume within two weeks.
