Yinzhen or Silver Needle is the wee baby of teas, technically flowery pekoe leaf buds, picked in April. The liquor of this Yunnan grown tea is pale in color and honey heavy on the tongue, the aroma is floral and the taste is extremely smooth. The highest amount of antioxidants and nutrients can be found in this tea, and due to its low tannins and high amino acids the caffeination effects are a slope rather than a peak.
